One of the independent programs affiliated with the Syrian Virtual University, and the provisions and instructions mentioned in the university's internal regulations that apply to similar independent programs apply to it.
Program objective:
The Syrian Virtual University aims, through the Technical Institute program for Business Administration, to qualify technicians in the field of management sciences, who possess the basic skills required in this field. This certificate constitutes the first and necessary link in the applied technical qualification for the holder of the secondary degree, and helps them to rapidly integrate into the labor market. The program provides the possibility to qualify holders of secondary degrees (modern and old) with its scientific, literary and commercial branches, and other secondary schools approved by the University Council, with the aim of developing their capabilities and enabling them to acquire the professional skills required in the labor market.
The program aims to achieve the following results:
- Preparing and qualifying students, according to their specializations in the field of human resources management, marketing, finance and banking, and providing them with advanced scientific knowledge in these fields, during a relatively short period of qualification.
- Forming the student's scientific and technical personality and developing it by taking advantage of all the benefits provided by virtual learning and according to the latest information and international standards, where students can continue their studies from anywhere.
- Developing the social and professional status of the student through obtaining a certificate that allows them to attain better job opportunities, and allows them to apply to specialized promotion programs at the Syrian Virtual University to get a degree in management sciences, if the institute student achieves the graduation rate approved by the councils in the Conditions of admission.
Educational outcomes:
The following are the approved educational outcomes in the Technical Institute's Program for Business Administration according to academic reference standards for the specialty of management:
- Acquiring knowledge and understanding:
First - Human resources management:
- Learning the principles, functions and theories of human resource management.
- Learning the nature of problems and the development needs of human resources and understanding what factors affect them.
- Learning the concepts and processes related to how the human element is invested.
Second - Marketing Specialization:
- Learn the principles and theories of marketing, its applications and its stages of development.
- Learning the patterns of customers’ needs and desires and understanding what factors affect them.
- Understanding the complementarity between the components of the marketing mix and its relationship to achieving the goals of the organization.
Third - Finance and Banking Competence:
- Learning the basic theories in financial management and accounting and the mechanisms for their application.
- Understanding the mechanism of business operations and its relationship to the surrounding economic, legal, regulatory-and other-environment.
- Learning about corporate governance systems and mechanisms.
- Learning the basics of financial decision-making: financing, investment and dividend distribution.
- Learning about banking services in all their traditional and Islamic forms.
- Understanding the mechanism of financial institutions in all its forms: banks, insurance companies, financial markets and associated financial intermediation companies, microfinance institutions and others.
- Learning about the risks facing business enterprises and understand how to manage them.
2. Mental Skills:
First - Human resources management:
- The ability to analyze and understand the needs of the institution and the needs of workers, and participating in its interpretation through human resource management functions.
- Ability to interpret the implications of numbers and data for HRM functions.
Second - Marketing Specialization:
- The ability to analyze and understand customers' needs and desires, and participate in their translation with appropriate products and marketing options.
- The ability to interpret the implications of numbers and marketing data.
Third - Finance and Banking:
- The ability to quantitatively analyze financial and banking data.
- The ability to explain specific financial phenomena that business enterprises may encounter.
- The ability to link between various variables, especially the internal ones, such as financial, organizational and administrative variables.
- The ability to analyze financial alternatives: investment and financing.
3. Professional and practical skills:
First - The competence of human resources management:
- Assisting in business analysis and design.
- Organizing selection and employing procedures.
- Helping in developing HR plans that serve business goals.
- Monitoring the implementation of development and training plans.
- Assisting in the evaluation of the performance of workers.
- Helping in building compensation systems, motivating employees and raising their performance level.
Second - Marketing Specialization:
- The ability to use customer communication techniques and product promotion techniques.
- Assisting in developing marketing plans that serve business goals.
- Assisting in evaluating marketing performance and monitoring the implementation of marketing plans.
Third - Finance and Banking:
- The ability to prepare, present and discuss specialized financial reports.
- The ability to perform jobs and banking.
- Assisting in assessing the financial performance of business enterprises.
- Helping to build investment and financing portfolios.
- Assisting in managing risks facing business and financial decision-making.
4. General and transferable skills:
- The ability to self-manage, individual initiative and personal motivation.
- The ability to manage time effectively.
- The ability to communicate, influence and deliver ideas and results and present them using appropriate means.
- The ability to work in a team effectively.
- The ability to interact positively with others with different personality, styles and different fields of work.
- Possessing self-awareness, cultural openness, acceptance of others, and adapting to others.
- Gaining positive values in practice, such as honesty, integrity, credibility at work, justice and equality.
Demonstrating personal commitment and responsibility in completing business according to profession standards and ethics.
