The program aims to qualify staff in project management and supervision of its implementation by using building information modeling. It, also, aims to qualify in the construction project management and by using BIM some specialists who are able to:
1. Develop learners' skills regarding project management and follow-up by using BIM technology.
2. Enhance the ability to use information technology.
3. Develop work skills individually and collectively and communicate with co-workers effectively.
4. Provide consultations in the field of gradually transferring and developing companies and institutions towards BIM technology.
5. Enhance learners 'abilities to negotiate, design and complete BIM activities projects that meet their needs and employers' needs, and the ability to participate in technology adoption negotiations.
6. Develop the skills of conducting scientific research at the national, regional and international levels.
7. Promote the use of specialized English.
This requires that they have a base of science and knowledge specialized in:
• Building information modeling and data interoperability.
• Fundamentals of project management and follow-up.
• Analyzing and evaluating performance and developing strategies (institutional development).
• Management of construction contracts and BIM-based contracts.
• Human Resource Management.
• Modeling and decision-making methods.
• BIM dimensions and levels.
• Sustainability and maintenance by using BIM.
A- Knowledge & Understanding:
The program addresses many of the principles, foundations and modern terminology that form an essential basis for a BIM graduate who will be familiar with the following upon completion of the program:
1- Good knowledge of methods of analyzing and providing advice on construction management problems of an advanced technical and administrative nature.
2- Realizing the importance of cooperative work between specializations at the national and international levels and the effect of applying technologies and competencies on cooperative work.
3- Understanding and evaluating the interaction processes involved in designing, constructing and managing the building by using BIM 3D models and data sets.
4- Understanding how BIM can contribute to making building energy and carbon efficient sustainable and environmentally friendly, and managing the processes needed to improve these results.
5- Organizing methods and tools for as-built survey of the existing buildings.
6- Understanding contractual and legal requirements and their implications for BIM operations.
7- Defining the roles and responsibilities of all parties participating in the BIM project for cooperation among various disciplines.
8- The ability to fully understand the basic concepts of par-metric modeling.
Upon completion of the program, the graduate will be able to:
1- Define and apply professional ethics and codes of conduct in various work scenarios and ways to protect the integrity of models.
2- Critically analyze and select BIM management techniques to achieve desired outcomes / delivery and performance outcomes through project, facilities and operations management, taking into account their global socio-economic impacts.
3- Demonstrate evidence of the benefits of applying BIM through critical and creative analysis of existing projects or case studies, and logical reasoning.
4- Identify and evaluate risks and actions required for successful implementation of the BIM project.
5- Analyze life cycle costing (LCC) in construction and recovery assessment.
6- Expressing/explaining good decision-making regarding specialized and non-specialized stakeholders.
7- Understand the meaning of a shared data environment (as stipulated in European practices)
8- Integrate quality assurance with risk records.
9- Organize and manage the various stages of design, tendering, construction and facilities management.
10- Critically analyze organizational management processes and apply them to: human resource development and quality assurance implementation.
11- Define, analyze and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to help define and achieve the objectives of the BIM process and evaluate its success.
12- Identify appropriate strategies and tools to conduct research on project management issues that use BIM processes.
13- Be familiar with sustainable use along with LEED rating system, energy management and analysis.
Upon completion of the program, the graduate will be able to do the following:
1. Establishing standards and protocols in terms of institutions, sectors and enterprises, for control, feedback and analysis, including what each stakeholder aims to achieve through the use of BIM.

3. Applying the skills of calculation and quantitative analysis to identify and evaluate the main costs and prepare economic and technical feasibility studies.
4. Utilizing technologies and strategies from information management, design management, construction management, project management, supply chain management and life cycle management that perfectly support BIMM operations.
5. Having the ability to manage projects and monitor performance using modern technologies.
6. Demonstrating leadership, management and conflict resolution through cooperation and integration between industry domains and separate supply chain while creating their own models, cost analysis, time allocation, and sharing all project data electronically in a common environment.
7. Demonstrating an understanding of building data analysis by using the Construction Operations Building Information Exchang (COBie) formats or equivalent, and influencing the modification of the company's integrated management system.
8. Modeling of electrical and mechanical engineering in buildings and detection of conflicts and incompatibilities.
9. Applying key principles to construction technology, design and performance. This includes organizational aspects, procurement and legal, financial, social and technological aspects during work stages to cover the entire organization.
10. Establishing standard BIM policies, procedures and business processes.
11. Exchanging all project data electronically in a common environment.
12. 3D scanning modeling for initial damage diagnosis and realistic reconstruction.
13. Participating in monitoring the performance of construction projects during implementation through the application of 4D and 5D concepts.
14. Determining BIM business outcomes through business simulation.
15. Mastering the use of para-metric methods to create advanced objects.
16. Having a good knowledge of using geographic information systems and the possibility of connecting with BIM.
General Transferable Skills for Graduates:
The student is expected to have a range of knowledge, skills and values, including:
1. Using oral and written communication skills to produce clear and reference reports, case studies, presentations, and conferences in an objective way.
2. Employing advanced research skills in the ability to synthesize a research question by identifying a knowledge gap, analyzing required information, presenting an argument and formulating appropriate conclusions.
3. Managing self-learning plans, encouraging Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and training to integrate level 3 BIM via the Web and demonstrating virtual management competencies.
4. Applying academic research skills in analyzing and critiquing the literature review appropriate to BIM management issues, and applying appropriate ethical research methodologies to investigate them and support the argument or hypothesis.
5. Critical awareness of contemporary BIM issues reported by technology, research, and management skills.
6. Communication skills and working as a team.
7. A good scientific research writing style, and writing an integrated scientific article for publication in accordance with international standards.
8. Developing critical thinking, leadership and decision-making skills, and the ability to think of strategic decisions.
9. Conducting independent in-depth research investigations of a specialized topic and applying appropriate ethical research methodologies.
