The standards of the credit hours define the degree of complexity, cognitive level, and independence that the learner must have after completing a course study or a learning program that provides a description of learning levels across a hierarchy of knowledge and skills.

Level 3

The learner works within defined and predictable contexts that require the use of specific techniques and sources of information.

Independency and responsibility

The learner works, to a large extent, under guidance or supervision, with specific instructions, and is responsible for starting and completing tasks and procedures

The learner has an understanding of specific fields of knowledge, and shows awareness of the current areas of discussion in the field of study.

The learner works with limited independency, under guidance or supervision, with specific instructions, and is responsible for the nature and quality of outcome

Knowledge and understanding

The learner has a broad understanding of the knowledge base, its terminology and its discourse language, and is aware of the fact that the knowledge base areas are open to continuous discussion and reform.

Formulation of concepts and critical thinking

The learner identifies the concepts and principles that form the basis of the theoretical frameworks and starts identifying their strengths and weaknesses.

Problem Solving, research, and Survey

The learner identifies a well-defined survey center, plans and implements survey strategies using a limited and defined set of knowledge methods, collects data from a variety of resources, and communicates results effectively and in an appropriate format.

The learner has a detailed knowledge of established theories and concepts. He/she shows awareness of different ideas, contexts and frameworks, and identifies areas in which the knowledge base is more / less coherent.
